Ford Explorer Gets 100 MPG

Last week, we were fortunate enough to have Jim D, a skilled mechanic from Eagan, MN attend a certification training at Dutchman Enterprises in New Jersey. Dutchman is the manufacturer of the HAFC and PICC products. The training was incredibly informative, and Jim learned a lot about the Hydro Assist Fuel Cell and Pre Ignition Catalytic Converter technologies. He put in some 12 hour days cramming a lot of classroom and lab time into each day.

During the course of the week, several vehicles were installed with the HAFC system. Jim worked on 2 installs; a Mitsubishi Eclipse and an Eagle Talon. According to Jim, the installations of the HAFC were very easy, and the tuning of the electronics is what produced the incredible mileage gains.

Most, if not all, of the vehicles converted during class left getting around 100 mpg. What was astonishing for me was the fact that a Ford Explorer converted during the class was among those vehicles achieving the 100 mpg mark!
